Europe

Who you know still decides who gets in.

European employers say they hire on merit. Then the internships go to the people whose parents can fund a summer in an expensive capital city. mentorhero puts a working professional in front of the students and job seekers who have nobody to call.

The problem here

Three things that keep European careers closed.

The unpaid internship

Entry routes that assume a family can cover rent in Paris, Amsterdam or London for three months filter by wealth, not by ability.

The first-generation gap

A student whose parents did not go to university has no dinner-table access to how professional hiring actually works.

Youth unemployment clusters

In parts of southern Europe, graduate unemployment sits far above the national average, and the advice on offer is generic.

Who we work with in Europe

Four kinds of partner.

  • Employers running Give, so their people mentor outside the business

  • Universities buying career access for every student

  • Public bodies with social value and youth employment targets

  • Charities widening opportunity for the people they already serve

Starting in Europe

What the first three months look like.

  1. 01

    Scope and eligibility

A short check on sector, size and what you want to change, then a 15-minute call.

  2. 02

    Launch

A live Academy event signs your people up as mentors in one sitting.

  3. 03

    Sessions running

Matching opens across the network and your dashboard starts filling from the first week.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Which European countries do you cover?

Mentors and mentees take part from across the continent, inside a network reaching 43 countries. Matching is cross-border by default.

How is personal data handled?

Data handling is region aware and sessions run on the platform. The detail sits on our privacy page.

Do sessions have to be in English?

English is the working language. Where a mentor and mentee share another, they can use it.
