Free mentoring is paid for by someone.
Here is the whole trail, from the people who put the money in to the point where it stops, one step short of the person asking for help.
Equityhouse Group Ltd puts the capital in
Equityhouse builds and backs businesses for the long term. It owns mentorhero and pays for the team, the technology and the safeguarding. That is why the platform has never charged the people it was built to help.
Partner organisations pay for access
Give, Grow and Redirect carry the running cost of the network. Give puts a company's own people on the mentor side. Grow buys access for their teams. Redirect offers a mentor instead of a rejection email.
Matching, safeguarding, the platform, the reporting
The money goes on the work around a conversation. Finding the right mentor. Checking they are safe to speak to a young person. Running the session, then counting it so partners see exactly what happened.
A mentee is never charged, a mentor is never paid
The trail ends before it reaches the two people on the call. Mentees pay nothing, ever. Mentors give 30 minutes rather than invoice for it. That is the whole point of funding it this way.
Money funds the platform, not the advice.
Being funded by organisations only works if that funding never changes what a mentee hears in their session. These four lines are the ones we do not cross.
- 01No fee ever reaches a mentee, at any point, for any reason
- 02Funding never buys a mentor's opinion or steers a conversation
- 03Partners see the real numbers, good or bad, never a polished version
- 04Safeguarding sits outside commercial targets and reports to the board

Fund sessions, volunteer your people, or support those leaving. Every partner adds mentors to the same global network.
In their words
Why people back this
The unit is half an hour. That is what makes the model scale where others have not.
Charging the organisation and never the individual is the right side of the line.
Three products, one session format. Easy to explain, hard to copy well.

Before you ask
For partners and backers
What stage are you at?
The platform is live, with sessions running and reported. We are open to conversations now.
How do you grow the mentor side?
Through organisations whose people want to give time, which is exactly what the Give product funds.
Who should I contact?
Use the partnerships desk on the contact page and it reaches the founding team directly.
