It started with a question nobody could answer.

Some people have a family friend in the industry, a former manager who picks up the phone, a network built long before they needed it. Most people have none of that.

The advice that would have changed everything simply never reaches them. Not because nobody was willing to give it, but because there was never a way to ask.

We built mentorhero to close that gap. 30-minute digital sessions, matching people who need guidance with experts who have already walked the path, across borders and across industries. Free for the mentee, funded by the organisations who want to stand behind it.

02beliefs

The principles we will not trade away.

Eight lines that decide every argument we have about what to build next.

  1. 01Advice should never depend on who you know
  2. 0230 minutes is enough to change a decision
  3. 03Borders should not limit who can help you
  4. 04Mentors give time, not money
  5. 05Every session should leave something behind, including a tree
  6. 06Safety comes before scale, always
  7. 07Impact only counts when it is measured
  8. 08The person who needs help should never pay for it

Organisations fund it, so people never have to.

01

Give

Companies turn their own people into mentors for those outside the organisation, logging volunteering hours and planting a tree with every session.

02

Grow

Partners open up the global mentor network to their own people, building confidence, resilience and the networks that shape outcomes.

03

Redirect

When a candidate does not get the job, they are offered a mentor instead, turning a rejection into something genuinely useful.

04people

A small team, a very large network.

mentorhero is run by a team of 20 who kept meeting brilliant people held back by a conversation they never got to have. The mentors are the ones doing the work, and there are thousands of them.

mentorhero is backed and owned by Equityhouse Group Ltd, which funds the platform while the mentoring itself stays free for every mentee.

Jackson Parsons
Co-founder

Sets the direction of mentorhero and the partnerships that fund the network.

Leon Juice

06questions

What people ask about us.

Two groups. People who need career advice and have nobody to ask: students, job seekers, working professionals. And people with experience worth passing on.

07what happens next

Help us make advice reach everyone.

Whether you need a mentor, want to become one, or want your organisation behind the network, this is where it starts.

In their words

Why people join us early

The idea is simple enough to explain in a sentence, which is usually a sign it will work.
Marcus T.Adviser
I have run mentoring schemes that collapsed under their own admin. This one starts from the session, not the scheme.
Helen A.Former programme lead
It treats the mentor's time as the scarce thing. That is the right way round.
