One question.
30 minutes.
A different Monday.
Micro-mentoring is a 30-minute session between one person with a question and one person who has already answered it. No long programmes, no matching committees.
Press play and watch a session run.
No warm-up needed.
Both people already know the question. The mentee wrote it when they booked, so the first minute is names and nothing else.
Mentoring stopped scaling when it got long.
Six month programme, signed off by a committee
Booked this week, finished this week
Matched on job title and availability
Matched on someone who has lived the same question
Preparation packs, homework, reporting forms
One call, no preparation, counted automatically
A handful of people take part
Anyone with a question, no seat limits
One question per session keeps the advice specific, so people leave with a next step rather than a reading list.
Everything around the 30 minutes.
Micro-mentoring only works if the admin disappears. We run the matching, the calendar and the reporting so the session is the only thing anyone has to think about.
- Matching on lived experience, not job title alone
- Booking, reminders and video handled end to end
- Unlimited sessions, with no seat limits on your people
- A live dashboard showing sessions, hours and reach
- A tree planted and a volunteering hour logged per session
- Safeguarding, verification and a code of conduct as standard
30 minutes, multiplied across the world.
What people ask about micro-mentoring.
For one question, yes. Each session covers a single topic, so the mentor goes straight to the part that matters instead of spending a month building context.
As many as they need. Each one is booked around a new question, and it can be a different mentor every time.
On lived experience. We look at what the mentee is stuck on and match them with someone who has already been through it, wherever in the world they are.
30 minutes at a time, whenever they choose to take a session. No fixed programme, no long term pairing, no preparation.
Sessions run on video, which is what lets a mentee in one country speak to a mentor in another.
Give someone 30 minutes that count.
Tell us who you want to reach and we will show you what micro-mentoring looks like in your organisation.
In their words
On the short format
I would never have signed up for a year. I signed up for 30 minutes.
One question, one answer, one thing to go and do. That was enough.
Traditional mentoring failed us because life got in the way by month three.
The numbers so far
Why short works
Before you ask
About micro mentoring
Is half an hour really enough?
For one well framed question, yes. For a longer journey, several sessions with different mentors work better than one long relationship.
Can I keep the same mentor?
You can request them again, though many people deliberately choose a different perspective next time.
What if we overrun?
That is between you and your mentor, but the commitment either side agreed to is 30 minutes.
